almost all forums i am on distinguish themselves by a Favicon (though some have the same one).
i find it also to add a bit more life/animation into the site.
UWT is a very colourful and lively forum so i think you guys should get one.
who's with me?

Yeh I agree with you, they need a favicon, but I also believe they need a new logo becouse it doesn't fit in with the theme of the site and looks a bit like a 2 second job.

Well we have the one Kerrick just made or we have the one I just attached.

Might get a new one created in the future after MyBB 1.4 is out :p

Thats a good go.. but try it without the UWT.. just look at other favicons.. they just have a little logo / image resembling them, with no need for a name tag.

None of the favicons in my favorites list have words on them unless its part of their logo.

luke, yours is dynamic and looks nice
but Kerrick's fits more with the site's logo

Kerrick designed both but I used a website to make a 125 x 125 banner into a logo :)

1.. would'nt it be better to design it at 30x30... closer to the real size so u can see what ur making and what it will become..

2... Il give making one a try if you want.. but don't expect much.

You can if you want.

Post your design here once completed :)

I will take a look but IE isn't that important as a lot of webmasters use Firefox :D

Never EVER doubt the hold that IE still has in market share for the world. For that very reason, many webmasters use IE (usually 7) simply so they can see how most of the world sees their sites.

I use IE purely becouse of its speed comapred to Firefox, even with V3 being 3 times as fast as V2

I added the code I found but for some reason it didn't work with IE.

I have no idea why.
