There should be a few free hosting company's and it doesn't cost money to transfer domains from one host to a different one.

(e.g. ns1.kwix-host.com , ns2.kwix-host.com wouldn't work?)

You can point it to a host via name servers for example my domain is connected from domainsite to my friends server via ns1.example.com ns2.example.com
For free? Or do you have to upgrade also?
